Hi Everyone I hope that you all have had a wonderful weekend. I have found that a lot of photographers as well as myself have what we call a DEPOSIT OR A RETAINER for sessions and weddings. And I want to assure to you that these are important when you are planning your wonderful session and or wedding event.
Here are just a few examples of why it is important to have a deposit or retainer for holding your spot for a session or wedding event.
- This assures that you have that specific time and date set for You and your family.
- This legally assures that you have the photographer and that they of course must fulfill the conditions on which you both have agreed upon,
- This is to assure that you both stick to your agreement on a specific time and date and to keep the organization to ensure a less stressful Photography Day,
Please keep in mind these while yes they are kind of an annoying thing to deal with, Definitely help when you are wanting to keep a schedule and have the professionalism from your photographer. I myself ask for a deposit to ensure that the client is serious about their session and to help keep things in a specific order.
I would love to hear your thoughts on what you think as far as deposits and retainers go when you book a photographer. So please feel free to comment and of course you may Share with others.
