Why Deposits/ Retainers are important for you and the Photographer.

Hi Everyone I hope that you all have had a wonderful weekend. I have found that a lot of photographers as well as myself have what we call a DEPOSIT OR A RETAINER for sessions and weddings. And I want to assure to you that these are important when you are planning your wonderful session and or wedding event.

Here are just a few examples of why it is important to have a deposit or retainer for holding your spot for a session or wedding event.

  1.  This assures that you have that specific time and date set for You and your family.
  2.  This legally assures that you have the photographer and that they of course must fulfill the conditions on which you both have agreed upon,
  3.  This is to assure that you both stick to your agreement on a specific time and date and to keep the organization to ensure a less stressful Photography Day,

Please keep in mind these while yes they are kind of an annoying thing to deal with, Definitely help when you are wanting to keep a schedule and have the professionalism from your photographer. I myself ask for a deposit to ensure that the client is serious about their session and to help keep things in a specific order.

I would love to hear your thoughts on what you think as far as deposits and retainers go when you book a photographer. So please feel free to comment and of course you may Share with others.

How to Choose Your Photographer?

When it comes to choosing a photographer, what first comes to mind? Price, Quality, extras etc.
Choosing your photographer is not an easy task.

When choosing please consider the following:
        * Reputation- Read reviews, ask people you know that have used that photographer and their thoughts about how they were and their mannerisms.
        * Quality - Look over their portfolio and or portfolios, check to see if their style is what suits your needs. ( AND YES ALL PHOTOGRAPHERS DIFFER FROM EACH OTHER)

        * Pricing- Check their pricing to see if they are within your type of budget. Although please keep on mind QUALITY OVER QUANTITY.

These are important when you are deciding on the photographer to capture your precious moments So please remember to Research before Deciding.

ALWAYS REMEMBER PLANNING IS KEY.
